About Turkeys for the Triangle

Over 20 years ago, Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston launched Turkeys for the Triangle with a simple yet powerful mission: to bring a holiday turkey to the tables of local families in need. What started as a small outreach initiative has grown into a cherished regional tradition that touches thousands of lives across North Carolina every single year.

In partnership with local charities, churches, shelters, and military organizations, we’ve proudly distributed over 60,000 turkeys—helping support more than 180,000 neighbors across Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas.

This is more than a giveaway—it’s a true community effort. Each year, HPW works alongside our clients, local business sponsors, and generous neighbors to raise crucial funds through direct donations and campaign raffle ticket sales (ranging from individual $5 entries to $100 bundles). Powered by our 700+ real estate agents and staff, these combined efforts allow us to distribute thousands of holiday turkeys to over 100 local nonprofits, as well as to active-duty military members and veterans.

All turkeys are distributed in one major, high-impact delivery wave on November 19, 2026, ensuring our recipient charities receive their centerpiece proteins in time for the holiday season.
